Tyco, if you're drinking let's say 15 glasses of water a day it would be alright and even beneficial to consume 1/4 teaspoon of salt a day.

Just a site regarding MAGNETIZED WATER: http://www.chem1.com/CQ/magwatscams.html

Sure I guess, but I'm not up to that amount. I'm not certain it's necessary or beneficial. My theory is, if you don't drink much water, our body will hoard some water weight. Water weight is jiggly fun, but not ugly ripple fun like fat is. Also, stored water weight is good for if you can't get water for some time, like in a desert.

Clint902- 10-15-2006

No, the body will use the water from the less important systems and use it for more important systems. It's important to provide enough water for the entire body.

tyciol- 10-15-2006

Yes, but not if you provide more than is needed. Then your body will start lessening how much it holds onto, kind of like with calories.

Clint902- 10-15-2006

In order to provide more water than the body needs, you'll have to drink a lot of water! The general rule is to drink 1 quart for every 50 pounds of body weight. What your body doesn't need, you'll just piss out.

tyciol- 10-15-2006

Who made that general rule? There is not any general rule. It's something no one ever agrees on, like pretty much anything involving eating.

Clint902- 10-15-2006

It's pretty much used in the medical field but the minimum amount of water should be 8 to 10 glasses a day. 8 glasses of water is 2 quarts anyway. Not a big difference. Of course, you don't want to drink all that water at once or you'll just piss a lot and be in pain.

tyciol- 10-17-2006

The kidneys have limits! You'll still piss a lot of course, just not all at once.

Clint902- 10-17-2006

The problem with drinking all that water at once is you'll cause an electrolyte imbalance and might even go into shock and die although that is rare. Drink all the water you want, just don't drink it all at once!

tyciol- 10-17-2006

Actually, you need a LOT to cause an electrolyte imbalance. Usually water drinking alone is not enough, it is when you sweat or exert yourself and only replenish it with water.

Usually water drinking alone is not enough, it is when you sweat or exert yourself and only replenish it with water. Now how many americans work up a sweat Tyco? Yes, water poisening is possible just by drinking as little as 3 quarts all at once. Try it and see for yourself!

tyciol- 10-21-2006

No it's not. If it's only water, your stomach will probably just get full, and that's what you feel. We have safety mechanisms to prevent this type of thing.

R-I-G-H-T! Well, Tyco, your ignorance is exceeded only by your ignorance.
