Weird thought
I wonder if there is someone who invented immortality rings like centuries or millenniums ago and kept it secret and now is still going around, young and immortal..like the Compte du saint German or the errand hebrew or Nicolas Flamel or some chinese taoist. Immortality Rings are so simple that it's difficult to think nobody have never invented it before.. So maybe one of this days one old old old man will come to visit Alex at San Francisco. That would be really interesting. Like to talk with a chinese taoist born in year 1000 B.C. :)

It's not simple. You have to test every inch of your body. Then you have to use the right polarities. One magnet on top of pinky, and another at bottom. One is North, the other one South. Then the other pinky the polarity is reversed. This is a combination which unlocked immortality. Took me 1 and 1/2 year to find it. Gorgeouspil is not simple too. I tried so many herbs in order to find a combination that can make your body heal like mad.

But I am sure ancient chineses and egyptians used magnets for health all over the body. Maybe one or two of them found right way to unlock immortality.

Yeah that would be something to see and hear about

DrSchadenfreude- 07-07-2008

It was something I too was wondering Franco...surely someone would have discovered it by now. If by sheer chance we discovered all sorts of complicated stuff (look! we have computers!) then surely something as simple as this, with good historical evidence that people had trialled similar things, would have been found out before! The likelihood is that it has. The likelihood is also that if it had been found out by one person, they wouldn't have been able ot keep it a secret and so many people would be immortal. Where are all these immortals? Hiding?! Hardly possible.

frank2008- 07-07-2008

I think only a small number of people know this secret. I think they kept it secret. Why not? In this way , they could become very rich ( through their great knowledge, expertise, bank accounts etc ) and be like gods among humans. Moreover, in the past, these kind of esoteric and "magical" knowledge was ALWAYS kept secret, behind severe punishment threats.

DrSchadenfreude- 07-08-2008

Yeah but it was kept secret amongst elite groups of people that continually being forced to expand for sociological reasons - the chaldeans, the priests, the druids. We now have a lot of documents from ancient babylon detailing magical proceedings - if anyone would have known this stuff it was the Babylonians. We know how to read the stars, the secret way they did. We know how to make their secret potions - where are the documents describing the rings? Where is the evidence anyone has ever found immortality?

frank2008- 07-08-2008

Why you think this secret has been passed through priests and druids and such. Maybe it was not a priest nor a member of some group that discovered it. Or it was, but when discovered it just went away going around in the world not telling to anybody about it. Or making a new secret set, telling to few people his secret, under the promise to not reveal to noone. And since it is a big advantage on others humans, nobody told it. I mean, it's like to win 100 millions dollars in a lottery. Of course him/they kept it secret.

DrSchadenfreude- 07-08-2008

I think it's very unlikely that if someone discovered immortality they would never share it with anyone. The person they share it with, would be just as unlikely not to share it with anyone else...probably more than one. Everybody has loved ones that they don't want to die...right?...That would continue ad infinitum.

frank2008- 07-08-2008

maybe only one that had no family found it, maybe a priest or kind of. Or someone so egoist not to tell that to relatives. Certainly there are not a lot of people who know this secret, but there can be one or two.. like one from ancient Egypt and one from ancient China.

DrSchadenfreude- 07-08-2008

Yeah, let's say one guy found out this fairly simple secret to immortality and told no-one. There's a very very low chance of that being so, but I'll humour you... In the length of time that humanity has been around and with the history that it has of experimenting with the effects of magnets on the human body...it's very likely more than just one or two people discovered this secret.Let's be conservative and say 10. 10 people in the several thousand years of civilisation discovered this simple secret.... They all stopped other people knowing? Come on..what are the chances.

frank2008- 07-08-2008

maybe you underestimate human egoism. Even Alex, who is a good guy and love his relatives, at beginning thought to keep secret his rings , to be the only immortal. He changed idea when a man beated him and he realized he could dye by accident and his discovery would have been lost. anyway why ten? they could be only one or two

DrSchadenfreude- 07-08-2008

Doubtful..ten was a conservative number. Something so simple as that, in context, would likely have been discovered many times. Why did a man beat him? why was he in a fight?

frank2008- 07-08-2008

a bodyguard in a stripclub.. well, it's not so simple, because not only you have ot find correct polarities in correct places, you have only to feel and believe that you found immortality. That means you have to understand soon that the combo you found can make you young forever. That is not simple, really.

DrSchadenfreude- 07-08-2008

you have to believe you've found immortality for it to work?!
