update on the refund for scientology
Well, to keep you guys posted on the latest and greatest of scientology, today I talked to a lady about getting a refund. Because I payed 900 bucks back in december and they never let me take the course that i payed for, they said i need to complete the basics first. So carl said that i could get a refund. But when you try to get a refund, they say YES, you can absolutely use the money for other courses with no charge! But as for as talking to the lady, she said that a refund is BIG no no. Because she is saying, if I got a refund, then I am not supporting the church. She says the money is used to help build scientology and support the organization and no person in it makes any money. She said she BELIEVES that one day from the bottom of her heart that I will be able to get the course I payed for. It is up to the CS, the case supervisor. And HE, is like ananymous. I will never see him. And so I told her, I would like a refund and she said, that I am not a supporter. She says the money is to be used for other courses, because I am not qualified yet. I said, they should have not taken my money if I couldn't do it. And she said, there was a miscommunication. I know how you feel, but noone here makes any money, I pay more money to be here than I earn. But I only do this just so I can help people like you. And I reallly really really care about you. And I think one day I believe you will be able to take the course. After you complete the 18 basics, you just may be able to.

I think anybody that pays them money is a jackass. Nobody gets any of that money my ass. That's all scientology is based on...making money.

JB, I think you can see where I'm coming from Firstly, why the fuck did they take your money without giving you anything in return if that was what was promised? If you want to give them a donation, fine, that would support what they do and that's your decision - but that wasn't the choice that you made. Already they're disrespecting you, and your money and taking liberties... Furthermore, the woman is echoing what I said - asking for a refund is a big no no. You'd be made to feel like a traitor, possibly even kicked out and you may have to go through disciplinary procedures...which are awful. Don't bother completing the "18 basics" if I were you. You can find out what's on them and how to do them online if you really want the knowledge and the skills. It's time to make a choice I think. I realise that they helped you but are they a good organisation, or an organisation that takes advantage of struggling people for money...if they are the latter, it would be wise of you to never darken their doors again.

sacjb, post the contact information of that lady here, plus any other officials you know. we'll help get your money back. in meantime, try this: ask to volunteer tabling for them. when you do the tabling, bring some alex products along, and push anyone interested in scientology towards buying alex products. basically you are using their resources to make money for yourself. that will show initiative, and they will either get so mad, they will refund your money, or they will be impressed and promote you.

I fail to see how anyone can get involved with the church of scientology. I mean all of the information is out there on their behavior and scams. Just go to youtube and punch in scientology and spend a little time and you will have the evidence. If you are hell bent on learning scientology tech then please do not get involved with the church. You can join the Freezone Scientologists. They will teach you all you want, give you "auditing" and not rip you off. Please if you are going to be involved get the hell out of the COS and get involved with the Freezone. That is if you do not want your entire life and mind ruined. And I want you to think about something. If a person is spiritually advanced they behave a certain way. They are a controlled individual that functions at a high level.
