the reason time seems faster is this. if you are only 10 years old, then 5 years is half of your life, and you don't even remember the first few well. but if you are 40, 5 years in only 1/8 of your life, so it goes by 4 times faster. You see? you get more used to time. one of the benefits is that you can learn to be patient cuz it comes anyways.

I admire older people for their experience, I'm trying to be as old as possible. I just watched Joe Biden on Meet the Press, he's been in the Senate for 36 years. Also prince Turki Faisal and prince Saud Faisal have been in the Saudi government for over 30 years This year I started counting my age in decimals instead of months, for example 29.63 Later on, I plan to start expessing my age in exponential numbers, e.g. 0.2963 x 10².

No I'm pretty sure that if the body is in a youthful state the perception of time is slower. As the body loses its youth, time perception speeds up. I've heard that Heaven is a timeless place, and Jesus said, "I tell you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven." Strange coincidence.

jimmy, when you have youth, your perception is that time is faster cuz you are having fun. when you are not having fun and feel like crap it goes by slower

The years go by slower as a youth. You can't dispute that. It's because they have more potential, they are healthier. You seem to think it's because of boredom. As their body ages they'll percieve things differently, and percieve time differently. Not really because of boredom, but because they are physically worn out. Ask any older person. Does time go by faster these days? They'll say yes the years just fly by. Is boredom really the opposite of having fun? I like being bored. I have fun being bored. I'm bored right now. Being bored at home is better than being at work. And you're right in a way. Boredom and slower time go together, but to me it's better to be bored. When I'm at work, I'm not really having fun, but time does go faster when I'm busy. I don't think that's a good thing really. I'm not happy at work. Working and having fun are the same in that you are having to expend energy to do them. Except one you like, the other you don't like. This is because at work you are made to sacrifice your time for someone else. Having fun expends energy, but its an activity that you chose to do. You aren't really forced into it. So what really makes time go faster is the use of energy. You could be having fun or not having fun while that's happening.
