thanks, would you make my wish come true and make a step by step guide?
So far this is what I have:
First consider these rules before reading,
First what is the appointed? The appointed is the stars in the hexagram.
then what are the dates?
Then what is strong and/or week/burried? What is strong is based on the table (although it needs to be updated).
What is strong is based on what is produced or killed or like said above the table found in chapter 2.
Yes, sometimes you will see a 'double appointed' in your hexagram. Just focus on the one that is stronger or closer to the self line. If one is moving and the other one is not moving, just take the moving line as the appointed.
And before wasting time reading the hexagram there are certain rules to follow:
Rule #1:
"Based on my experience, sometimes when both the U and the J are bounding to the date or to the month, things will not be successful. I don't care how strong my money star is. If I see that both the J and the U are bounding to the date, I would just throw the coins again to get another sign." So if this happens to you, just RE-Toss and start over!
Rule #2:
"If both the month and the date are killing the appointeds element. The appointed is considered dead." So don't even bother reading the rest of the hexagram if the appointeds luck is bad, and the outcome is determined no matter what unfavorable.
Rule #3:
"But despite rule #1 no matter what if the date is producing the appointed, the appointed is safe."
Rule #4:
"According to the ancient text, if the appointed is bounding to the month or to the date, the appointed is considered strong." UNless the month is killing the appointed, and/or the date is burying or weakening, or killing the appointed to.
Then just like the result of rule #1 do not read the rest of the hexagram, because the result is unfavorable.
Rule #5:
"asking about illness or about marriage, bounding to the appointed by the date or by the month is a sign that the Lord is taking this person away." So the result is unfavorable.
Step #1:
If none of the rules apply then continue starting with the stars, first find out which lines of the hexagram mean anything. Use the stars to determine which line represents what.
J=Yourself
If B is on selfline do not invest.
If K is on selfline you got nothing,
K on selfline means "No Job", No money, No illness, No win in lawsuit/game., No danger, no trouble,No fame or success
(so if you get this on the selfline don't even read rest of hexagram, you already have your answer.)
K is also Child Daughter/Son.
R on selfline means opposite of K.
But R are also means Jailtime if you asking about going to jail.
R is person in power, husband, cop, judge, robber, theif, or dead person.
P means yes. Yes you will get a letter, yes you will get answer, yes will be famous, P star represents parents, father, mother, grand mother, grand father, uncle, aunt, an older person, a teacher, boss, a leader, etc.. The P star also represents many other things: the universe, a system, the wall, a building, house, boat, large size car, cloth, fabric, book, document, library, contract, pen, ruler, stationary, and much more.
IN BRIEF, THE P STAR STANDS FOR SOMETHING COMPLEX. Parents, problems, documents, and buildings are complex and therefore are represented by the P star. P also stands for worry, fear, and trouble. P represents a news, a notice, someone setting you up, something happening, etc.
U=Opponant
G=female lover/money/gain/car/wealth/house/stock/beer/food/property/pet, treasure, jewelry, safety box,/popularity/wisdom/knowledge
B=lonliness, brother, sister, friend, co-worker, same status as you, competition, money killer.
If nothing on the selfline gives a direct answer, here is a step by step process to decoding a hexagram.
Step #1:
First use the selfline to show what element you are from one of the 12 lower dates.
Step #2:
Then find out what lines are the appointed (aka subject of the question), then see the relationship between the elements (12 lower dates) and the selfline.
Step #3:
Then find the (if any) unappointed lines with the elements that are killers to the self or appointed lines, and if they are not moving, they are of no harm so if they are still, cross them out, (they don't count).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules of time:
If you want to know "when" something will happen you need to ask specifically in the question 1 out of 4 options.
Either the Year/Month/Day/Hour.
If you don't ask specifically then you won't know wether or not the answer you are given is referring to the Year or the wether it's referring to the Month or the Day or the Hour? How will you know? So if you want to know the answer for all four, then you need to ask the same question 4 times. Unless Alex can someday come up with a better solution.
So if you don't already know the Year, the month and the day, then you need to ask "what year". Then re ask the same question but specifiying "What Month"? Then re ask specifying "What Day"? Then again if you want to be really specific Specifically "what Hour". Then you will have your complete answer. Remember that Each Chineese hour is really 2 of our hours, so hopefully Alex will someday update his site to tell us the conversion. Untill then just use the Hexagram generator.
Now on to time. When you ask a question, the time something will happen is based on this:
Golden Rule:
If an appointed line is bounding to the date or month, what ever strikes it is "when" something will happen.
First check to see if there are any empty dates, An empty date is a blessing to us who can't read hexagrams very well, they make it so that without reading the hexagram at all, whatever the empty date is, that's when something will happen. VERY NICE. In fact it might make life easier to just keep tossing until you get a hexagram with empty dates so that you don't have to do any further reading what so ever!
Now when using the empty dates method you have to decide between the options which date is represented. That's easy, lets say there are the empty dates sh and h, but in the hexagram there is no h or there is only an sh on one of the appointed lines, then sh is the chosen date.
Or lets say that the empty dates are shown in the hexagram in the two lines between the selfline and the Opponent Line. Which ever empty date is not in one of the lines is the chosen date, or if one of the lines is a moving line, whichever date it turns into is the chosen date.
However if both the J and U line hold empty dates that are not moving lines then nothing will happen, if your asking a girl she will not go out, you will not be invited, you can not sue for much, you will not be sued for much stock will not go up, ect.
But if both J and U lines are empty and move, things will happen.
Here's the conclusion:
Let's say sh & h are empty dates. Both J and U have the element h, but the element sh is not appearing on the J line nor on the U line. Based on my experience, your wish will come true if this is your first toss EVEN IF THERE IS A PERMANENT 6 STRIKE. Everytime I got this kind of first toss, good things happened. But if you ask about trouble, trouble will also happen. Basically, only one empty element showing up on both J and U means your wish can come true. Trouble will come to you if you were asking about trouble. Things will happen when the emptiness of J and U is fulfilled.

Separate Look
Let's say cn & e are empty. Both J and U contain the empty elements cn & e. If you got this kind of sign in your first toss, your wish cannot come true or things won't happen. If you ask about trouble, nothing serious will happen. But if you ask for success, there is no success. If J line moved but U line does not move, things still won't happen. If U line moves but J line doesn't move, things still won't happen. If both J and U do not move, things will not happen.
(Note: Let's say you tossed the coins on day cn - I. Both J and U have empty cn and e. Things still could happen because only element e is really empty. The element cn has already been fulfilled since you tossed the coins on day cn.)

Big Storage Consume
Let's say t & c are empty, and this is your first toss. Both J and U contain the elements t & c. As long as both J and U are moving lines, things still will happen or your dream still can come true. If you ask for trouble, trouble will occur. Things happen when the emptiness fulfills.

However if the empty dates element is stuck by the date of the toss the answer of time can be three things, either on the empty date, on the date of the appointed star, or on the date it was struck, in other words JUST RE-TOSS!
Golden Rule
If an appointed line is bounding to the date or month, what ever strikes it is "when" something will happen.
If the appointed line is healthy and bounds to the selfline then that's when something will happen, unless it moves, if it moves then whatever it turns into is when something will happen ONLY if whatever it turns into or stays as (whatever it is in the second hexagram) strikes the selfline. If it does NOT strike the selfline then it the time something will happen is what it was in the first hexagram.
First you look to see if the Appointed line is bounded to the date, if it is then when ever the bondage is broken thats when something will happen.
GoldenRule:
"However if the date is killing or weakening the appointed in anyway even if it is being bounded to the appointed, it is the date that the event will occur, example if date CN is bounding BUT ALSO KILLING the appointed T then it is not what strikes the bounded lines, it is what is binding and KILLING. So the time is CN."
However if neither of the above is the case, you must look for other answers to find out when something will occur.
Month or date can bound to any line. And/or A moving line can bound to another moving line. A moving line can bound to the element which it turns into.
For all moving lines, whatever breaks/strikes bondage, is when something will happen unless it's the situation of the golden rule.
Sometimes, the same element could bound to itself. For example, day t could bound to the t line. Day s could bound to the s line. In some cases, day t can bound to both the c and the t lines.
When a line is moving, it will become effective whenever a future year, month, date, or hour bounds to the moving line. A moving line will also become active in a coming year, month, date, or hour that has the same element as itself. Let's say that a line which contains the element c moved. That line will become effective in the t year, month, date, or hour. (t bounds to c.) The c moving line will also become effective in a coming c year, month, date, or hour.
When a quiet line is being struck by the date, it becomes a moving line.
Let's say you have a quiet line which has the element y. The date is s. The date s strikes with the y line. That line is no longer a quiet line but a moving line. That line will become active when a future year, month, date, or hour bounds to it. That line will also become active in a coming year, month, date, or hour which has the same element as itself.
When the date bounds to a quiet line, the quiet line will become active when a future year, month, or date strikes the bondage open.
When a moving line is bounding to the date, it cannot move.
Only a FUTURE MONTH can turn a quiet line into a moving line.
If a non-moving line is bounding to the date, that line will act like a moving line when the bondage is broken.
Yes, sometimes you will see a 'double appointed' in your hexagram. Just focus on the one that is stronger or closer to the self line. If one is moving and the other one is not moving, just take the moving line as the appointed.
