I actually read that book many years ago. That was the biggest influence on my learning about other religions, and realizing that Christianity/Jesus and all that crap wasn't for me.

paulus, yes I understand, you have to ask yourself if they are good for you, I believe watching violent movies do cause harm in a persons soul. It's like saying you like to watch pedeophile movies or beastiality movies but say you are not a pedeophile I would find that person strange regardless if he is not a pediophile. Wanting and enjoying watching other people sin but you hold out and do not commit physical sin, I believe you are just as rotten as the person who physiclly commits sin. One of the bible's 10 commandments say do not kill and Jesus came along and said, but I say to you if you have hate for your brother, you are also a murderer and the commandment about adultery, Jesus came along and defined it more clearly again that if you even just lust after a woman, you have already commited adultery in your heart.
So paulus, you say you do not commit acts of violence, but you enjoy watching violence is still a sickening thought. You should find any type of violence abhorent and refuse to watch it. If you enjoy seeing someone on tv being shot in the face or cut in two by a chainsaw, all I can say is it is wrong. I do not watch any tv at all, tv is evil. TV is designed for you to seek enjoyment by watching acts of depravity.

I was listening to a sermon and the pastor said there was a rock star and a bunch of groupies wanting to party with him, he said I don't need them, I already got their money. Your first paragraphs are just retarded. When someone is watching child pornography, they are actually watching people having sex with children. When someone watches a horror movie with killing, they are watching people ACT out the killing. A big difference there. I LOVE horror movies, but I would NEVER watch movies where people are actually getting murdered. So, you're point is invalid.
And about MetallicA. Yes, I love them. I have loved them for over 15 years. Their music has helped me get through some very rough times in my life. If it was not for their music, I might not even be here today. Do I care if they care for me personally? No I don't. They don't know me. And personally, I don't believe what your pasture said. They are always trying to talk bad about rock and metal bands, so they'll say anything. And so what if they did say that? MetallicA did have an ego problem back in the day. They later realized it and decided to change for the better. So, even if they were like that back in the day, they're not anymore and that's all that matters. People make mistakes.
And I did turn out fine, thank you very much. I'm a very caring person, and have alot of love in my heart. Just because I don't follow your religion and have a few words out of a song from a heavy metal band as my screen name does not mean I am a bad person or there is something wrong with me.

Hey, if you don't like MetallicA, that's cool. No biggie. Different types of music can effect people emotionally, and that's what MetallicA did for me. Their music always made me feel better.
