Religion
Let the controversy begin. As long as you are respectful of others beliefs  , this should be one of the best and longest threads. :D

Break the cross and spill the wine. I support the idea of monotheism, i.e. all power concentrated in a single entity. But since I don't believe in the supernatural, this All-Powerful god has to actually exist here in reality, not as an invisible monkey in the sky like The_ATA0 is postulating. So if you were to say "Let's give all the power to some girl, XYZ." I would go "Interesting, tell me more. We might just do that." I like the idea of absolutistic dictatorship, not the mediocrity that democracy encourages.

All religions are stupid, because all of them suppose that God is like a person who hears people's prayer or speak to us or comes down on earth as a aman or an animal and such things.. And all religions try to enslave people inside absurd dogmas and strange beahviour and sectarian life style. The only true religion is only universal spirit laws, that we have yet to understand properly.

thats kind of like them poem "the walrus and the carpenter". the walrus (buddah or Lord Ganesh) and the carpenter (jesus) dupe all the oysters and then devour them en masse. To me that says that religion takes away our inner self to instill fear in us. So its kind of like an intagible parent shaking its finger at you saying "if you do that... I will beat you".

No one can tell you what to believe and what not to believe. However, I can tell you that Andrew WK is probably the messiah: http://www.alexchiu.com/messiah.htm And here is one more thing: Alex Chiu may be Steev Mike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXzQ-I-PaIs Are these stupid beliefs? Probably. But these are no more 'stupid' than any beliefs I have seen anywhere about religion. Belief in a man who can turn water into wine? Belief in an invisible god? Belief in past lives? Belief in magnets that grant immortality? When you think about it, they all sound stupid. Because these are all equally 'stupid' beliefs, you can believe what you want; no one can tell you different. LONG LIVE THE PARTY

Re:
Monotheism is the outcome when polytheism is abused. Polytheism is the outcome of the loss for genuine religion. 'Monistic Polytheism', (the acknowledgement that God is not an anthropomorphic deity, but the trans-dimensional sum of all reality, wherein there exists lesser gods, angels, beings, and creatures independantly) hence why different rulers of Egypt banised and re-incorporated worship of one god and many. It is the idolatry of people's worship of particular Gods which causes them to lose sight of the origin, and highest source of life which is in all, thus then only worship of nature ensues and people forget about how to save their soul. But in Monisticism, idolatry of a different kind holds true, which eventually assumes that God takes the form of an isolated being, and even has a body! This anthropomorphisis is the reason no image, graven or otherwise just as Moses taught, should be made of God because God has no form. Those who save their souls become Gods, as the bible eludes to: Psalm 82:6 (KJV) "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." The bible admits plainly that there is a pantheon. John 10:34-36 (KJV) "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? "

GOD IS SIMPLY LIFE THAT SIMPLE ALL LIFE COMES FROM A SOURCE. THERE ARE DIVINE LAWS THAT GOVERN THE WAY LIFE IS MAINTAINED AND THE ORDER OF IT ALL. THIS IS GODS LAW. MAN IS SO SMALL WITH ALL HIS UNDERSTANDINGS THAT HE HAS YET TO UNDERSTAND THIS. THE TRUTH IS OFTEN MANIPULATED BECAUSE IF I CONTROL YOUR TRUTH I CONTROL YOUR LIE. U LIVE THAT LIE FROM FEAR SERVED TO YOU BY YOUR MANIPULATORS WHO EVER THEY BE ON A GOLDEN PLATER OF RELIGION AND POLITIC. FOR FEAR IS A DRIVNG FOR OF ALL LIVING THINGS MEDITATE ON THIS THE ORIGINAL MAN.

Are these stupid beliefs? If a man wore magnet rings, and healed himself to the point where he lived long enough to understand how to become immortal, did the rings grant him immortality? One could easily answer: yes. What is water, what is wine? How does a man change water into wine? A better question would be: How does an alchemist change lead into gold? For those with eyes to see, let him see this question's metaphorical meaning. Beliefs will not do anything for anyone, the word: 'belief' in ancient Hebraic religion is rumored to have meant more than what it does today. It used to imply more than agreement with an idea, it meant relevant action as well. The meanings of words change over time, if people assign different values to them. Take a look at the 80's how one could watch Michael Jackson on tv, and realize all of a sudden that 'Bad' really means 'Good', and how good it is to be bad! Semantics."I'm bad, I'm bad, you know it!" Another example of this, are the words: 'chastity', and 'virginity'. Some people assume a chaste virgin is someone who renounces sex, but in reality it denotes a person who completely refrains from and renounces the orgasm, lust and sodomy forever. Behold the key of knowledge: Furthermore, a chaste virgin is the only type of person who can become an alchemist, because the "key of knowledge" is inextricable from the act of kundalini yoga. Luke 11:52 (KJV) "Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered." Knowledge (English) Gnosis (Greek) Hebrew (Da'ath) Observe this verse, and see if you can find where 'knowledge' is referrenced: Genesis 4:1 (KJV) "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD." Here when it says Adam "knew" it is referring to sex. Knowledge in the bible is associated directly with sex, and is a recurring theme throughout the book. Those who 'find knowledge' no longer need to 'believe' because they know God, they've experienced God because they've regenerated the glands, the chakras, risen the fire of kundalini, and destroyed the ego which kept them in sin, therefore blind to the varying dimensions of nature. So then, what is water? wine? lead? gold? What is alchemy? It is interesting to note, that Jesus transmuted water into wine at a wedding....... (wedding of a man and a woman, the story is symbolic, weddings occur between a man and a woman and Transmutation of water into wine does also!)

Hey Vehcklox, you are smart, keep on increasing your understanding. I would really recommend you'd read the book "Thiaoouba Prophecy", just give it a read, you won't regret it.

Re:
Hey Vehcklox, you are smart, keep on increasing your understanding. I would really recommend you'd read the book "Thiaoouba Prophecy", just give it a read, you won't regret it. I have read books like this one before, I'm sure some people are familiar with the Urantia book, and others. Having said this, after browsing through wiki and some excerpted material I recognize there are conflicts with the message in the book and the doctrine I study currently of Samael Aun Weor (who wrote over 60 books). Without contesting any of the points in the book, let me offer what I feel to be the most credible about SAW's works. First of all, I can take what is said in the books, and measure it against the bible, and recognize very clearly that what he's saying about the bible is irrefutable evidence, take the example from the post I made above. Secondly, I know there is an esoteric science in Judaism known as Kabbalah, I've been following it's idiosyncracies for a few years now and am marginally familiar with what it entails. The truths and correlations given in the works of SAW are highly kabbalistic and imply metaphors in the bible which resemble metaphorical traits of language the likes of which are commonly known to be found in languages like Hebrew and the Hieroglyphs of Egypt. The problem I have with books like you've presented is firstly, the credibility of the book hinges solely upon whether the man/prophet in question really was recieving information from aliens/channeled beings etc. Whereas in the books of SAW, not unlike biblical prophets, the information is derived from a single person who is a prophet able to articulate divine information verbatim (without having to fly off in some ship to be indoctrinated). Secondly, lets suppose the man really did channel or recieve information from some extraneous intelligence, and that for the most part what was being said is even truthful. This does not prevent it from being derived from demoniacs, fallen angels, black magicians, or some maniacal supernatural charlatan. (hence when I wiki'd this book you referrenced, it noted that the book's points are in contrast to alot of other New Age type books) Next, this guy could have also made up some of these things on his own, or even more likely, heard a few good stories/rumors and decided to cash in on writing a new book. The fact that Samael Aun Weor established a movement in south America of all places, took the time to write over 60 books, teaches a message that is deeply rooted in already known material/facts, and history (among many other things) implies to me that alot more is going on with this message than material such as you're presenting here. Last I want to say that while pouring over the material in SAW's books, I came accross many things I found a hard time with, which eventually I recognized there was sufficient evidence for. If you want to invest your time in researching something, you would do well to research his books. On a daily basis, I can turn on the History Channel, and while seeing that some of the material there are shots in the dark to assume what happened in the past, there is alot of other very accurate information which I have found to reiterate some of the more hard-to-swallow claims of SAW's. This after having also listened to a biblical scholar for years who teaches the bible with a Strong's concordance cover-to-cover. Not to say whats presented in your book isn't true, as some stories in the bible take the form of 'multiple-simultaneous-truths' (as is the metaphorical nature of the text) but when given the insurmountable evidence, I do not feel obliged to waste time with something other than the Gnosis of SAW. The material I have now is sufficient to me, for what I have wanted to understand. Concerning particulars, if you'd like to articulate points of the books, or contrast them to others I'd prefer you IM me. Last, let's look at timeline as a source of credibility, when did all of this New Age type of material begin to circulate? Around the 60's right? Quote from wikipedia: "New Age is the term commonly used to designate the broad movement of late 20th century" Samael Aun Weor lived from 1917 - 1977 (he curiously died the day before Christmas) He was writing and distributing his books at about the time when "New Age" literature was being circulated. He founded the World Gnostic Movement and it seems that in it's infancy, a counter-movement began to emerge which we now call "New Age". Wikipedia says: "The contemporary usage of the term New Age was popularised by the American mass media during the late 1980s". So, considering that it's likely all of the "New Age" material seems to be the copycat hoax response in North America, to what was happening in South America, and when you referrence a book to me that was written in the 90's, I'm less likely to believe that it isn't just a fledgling author's attempt to jump on an already bloated bandwagon.

Well, I can't blame you for preferring SAW's books. I took a look at the site you posted and I do agree a lot of the site's information. I'm still convinced that "Thiaoouba Prophecy" is not a lie because what has been mentioned makes a lot of sense. Also, the book has some possible proofs but they still need to be verified. Such as: The moon is not moving further from Earth but moving closer to Earth. (I can explain this further if you want) The body of Jesus is buried in Herai Village in Aomori district of Japan.
