I thought this info might be useful to you both. The health benefits of aloe vera juice have long been known. It has been used historically as a soothing balm, applied externally for cuts, scrapes and burns. Modern uses of aloe vera are extensive. The health benefits of aloe vera taken internally include: improved circulation, regulation of blood pressure, promotes healing of bones and joints, strengthens the immune system, defends the body against bacteria, heals internal tissue damage, heals ulcers, improves and even eliminates constipation, blood sugar regulation, and reduces itchiness in psoriasis helping it to heal. Drinking two to four ounces a day is all that is required to gain the many benefits of aloe vera juice. If you drink it daily, aloe vera can aid your digestion, improve your circulation and detoxify your body and cleanse your colon. The detoxification properties of aloe vera juice also act to detoxify your blood stream. If you have intestinal or stomach problems it can help your digestive tract to work smoothly. Aloe vera also helps to dilate the capillaries and support cell growth, thereby improving circulation. One of the most important health benefits of aloe vera juice is its operation as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent, helping to prevent the onset of disease in the body. Thus, taking aloe vera juice daily helps to maintain good health and provide a sense of wellbeing and energy. Aloe Vera Juice And Weight Loss One of the most valuable health benefits for today’s society is aloe vera's ability to assist weight loss. Aloe vera works to both reduce and stabilize the body mass index by stimulating the metabolic rate in our liver cells so that we burn more energy. The energy used for this comes from fat and carbohydrate stores in the body. Drinking aloe vera juice every day has been likened to doing multiple workouts throughout the week. Another reason why aloe vera works well as a weightloss supplement, is because it has a high content of collagen protein. When you drink aloe vera juice every day, the body has to spend additional energy to assimilate its protein into your system. This extra expenditure of energy also supports weight loss and muscle development. Aloe vera reduces the amount of time food stays in your intestine, which means that less energy is absorbed from the food. Throughout history aloe vera has been associated with achieving healthy body weight and it has been known as “the dietary plant” and “the harmony remedy.” Aloe Vera Juice And Detoxification Detoxification is another of the health benefits of aloe vera juice. Carrisyn, an extract of aloe vera, has been shown to stimulate the production of infection-fighting blood cells and in so doing strengthen the immune system. Aloe vera juice contains amino acids, methionine, serine threonine and molybdenum, which work together to detoxify heavy metals and additionally aid in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein. This action prevents a build up of fat in the liver and the arteries. These detoxification and laxative qualities of aloe vera juice, improve the efficiency of the colon, which is extremely important for good health. Poor colon health results in the re-absorption of toxins into the human body resulting in low energy and un-wellness. Aloe vera juice contains nineteen amino acids, twenty minerals and twelve vitamins and as such is an excellent, natural nutritional supplement. Any Side Effects Of Aloe Vera Juice? Yet, aloe vera is not without possible side effects. Reported side effects include allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, nausea, dermatitis and strangely colored urine. However, these side effects are rare and may well be the result of drinking too much of the juice. It is unwise to drink aloe vera juice as if it were orange juice. If you stay to the recommended dose, you should be fine. Nevertheless, it is important to pay attention to any side effects and stop drinking the juice if you detect a reaction. Aloe vera juice is not a magic potion or a cure-all. Indications that you should avoid aloe vera are if you are pregnant or breast feeding, have kidney or heart disease, or are allergic to garlic or onions. It is also inadvisable to give aloe vera juice to children as they can experience toxic reactions. For most people, the health benefits of aloe vera juice outweigh any risks, however it is important to use this supplement wisely and pay careful attention to your body’s responses to it. Hi warrior350-6, You are very welcome, The juice is generally considered better, simply because it is absorbed quicker. How ever I am currently taking the capsules, which are more convenient to take.Just make sure that whatever you decide to buy that the bottle has an approved aloe certificate on it, as this will prove it's quality.

I tried Aloe Vera juice for 90 days and it didn't do anything at all. The ingredient in aloe that is most beneficial is mannose, an essential sugar. Look into things like glucosamine (for aches and pains) or Limu to get essential sugars. Only goji juice has all 8 essential sugars, which are: 1. Glucose 2. Mannose 3. Galactose 4. Fucose (not to be confused with fructose) 5. N-AcetylGalactosamine 6. N-AcetylGlucosamine 7. N-AcetylNeuraminic Acid 8. Xylose Mannose is a little different from glucose since it is absorbed 8 times slower and through the upper GI tract. Mannose is perhaps THE major player when it comes to intercellular communication. Mannose is involved in more cell interactions than any of the other sugars and a deficiency in mannose has been linked to a whole host of health problems. Galactose is another of the 8 essential glyconutrients and in found mostly in dairy products and in some fruits. Galactose can inhibit many health problems from starting and is also useful in the healing process as well. Fucose (not fructose) is found abundantly in mother's breast milk and in specific mushrooms. Fucose is found in high concentrations in the nerve synapses (spaces between nerve endings), in the outer layer of our skin and in the kidneys and testes. N-AcetylGalactosamine is probably the least known of the 8 essential sugars and more research is needed to pinpoint its roles in disease prevention and healing. Patients with various cancers such as colon cancer have been found to have about half as much N-AcetylGalactosamine as do non-cancerous people. N-AcetylGlucosamine has been linked to helping immune system functioning especially in relation to a whole host of immunological disorders. N-AcetylGlucosamine is found in the thyroid gland, testes, liver and small intestines. Shark cartilage, shiitake mushrooms and supplements are good sources for N-AcetylGlucosamine. N-AcetylNeuraminic Acid has been linked to brain development, learning, memory and cognitive performance. N-acetylneuraminic acid is found mainly in the glycoproteins and glycolipids and widely distributed throughout the human body. Studies have shown that N-AcetylNeuraminic Acid is effective in fighting against viruses and airborne allergens. Xylose has been shown to have both antibacterial and antifungal properties. Diabetics sometimes use the commercial derivative of Xylose, (Xylitol) as a sugar substitute. Xylose is absorbed in the small intestine where it increases the friendly flora, which in turns helps all other nutrients absorb more effectively.

hey lord of the rings, you sound like you know alot about supplements and such. we were discussing weight loss tips. what do you know about that? tami1962 and i are having one hell of a time losing weight and we needed to get some advice on an effective diet product that will work wonders on us. so what you know about diet pills and weight loss products? any advice will be apreciated. paulus gave great advice and that article on aloe vera was great too. some people react different to products so what works for one may not work for another. who knows if we were all the same, we would either be all thin or all fat. but unforunately its not that way. anyway let me know if you have any advice. thanks warrior350-6

One thing is to avoid processed foods and soda like the plague. Your body can't process alot of the chemicals, so it just turns it all into fat and the chemicals wreck your body. Hoodia works, but I'm not sure how safe it is, so I recommend doing as much research as possible before taking it. Eat slowly, no matter how hungry you are. I takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to let your brain know that it's full from eating food, which is why people often feel bloated after eating. The bloating distends the stomach, making it larger, so you have to put more in to fill it next time and you're trapped in a vicious circle. Drink a glass of water before eating and then try to eat 3/4 of what you normally would. Don't eat after 8pm, and it will keep your IGF low(very good thing). If you need something to snack on (before 8pm), chips and salsa are good (the salsa is good for you, chips not so much) Veggies, nuts and raisins are better to eat, obviously. Meat, cheese and peanut butter will clog your colon up and bloat the stomach. It takes the body longer to process them than it does vegetables, so when you add more, you're repeatedly creating a "traffic jam" in your bowels. One of the best ways to drop some weight quickly that I've found is to do some light, simple exercises right before dinner. Exercise usually abates hunger but don't overdo it, as you want to be tuckered out, not more alert. Then skip dinner and drink some water and something like V8. You will feel full from the V8 long enough to turn in, and if you've done enough exercise, you should be tired enough to get to sleep right away. If you get hungry and can't sleep, drink some water and more V8. It will fill you up (again we're trying to feel full, not bloated) and your stomach will shrink slightly overnight. Eat some fruit first in the morning after doing this, but, again, don't wolf it down, as we're trying to shrink the stomach down. Do that a couple days in a row and you'll see the waistline shrink noticably a day later (it's a slightly delayed effect). Don't eat more at lunch or snack in anticipation of eating less at dinner. This isn't "tough love", so don't feel deprived. Remind yourself that this is healthy and will give you many benefits, such as more energy, a lil more confidence, clearer skin and that you're filling your stomach with food, albeit in liquid form. CAUTION: Do this sparingly. Every night isn't healthy for you, but 2 days a week once a week or so is, as it raises nitric oxide levels.
