It's the season for giving.
Well here we are almost at Christmas again, unlike most people who only think about themselves and their close friends at this time of year, I care about the ones who people no longer care about or never have cared about. Jesus loves everyone therefore were must love everyone and care about them. There are people who need help and people oversea's in India who are spreading the word of god and helping poor people, giving them food, treating their illnesses such as leprosy and a host of other illnesses. These people need money to help these people and now is a good time with the Lord's birthday coming up to give god a present by helping and saving people he loves (god loves everyone). What I am going to do, you can PM me and donate money to me via paypal and I will use that money to donate to Independent Church of India. I don't know of a better ministry to support other than this one in India, but I have seen their fruit and it is good as they have videos on their website detailing what they do and showing how they help so many people. They give rice to people, teach people about Jesus, they even built an orphanage for little children who would otherwise have no home and be living on the streets with little hope of any half decent life, but what is more they also teach these children, they educate and school them, they don't merely just put a tin roof over their head and give them a cup of rice, they treat them like human beings and give them opportunities. They also built a leper village (I think) where ICI purchased some land and built some houses for the lepers to live in + land so they can grow their own food and become independent. What this church does is amazing and they deserve your support. Pictures and quotes are directly from http://www.indchurch.org This woman with leprosy is weak from lack of nutrition and sickness. The meal and medical provision she receives at ICII's outreaches is the best she gets all week. This blind man with leprosy could come to the colony and live the rest of his life in peace rather than rejection and suffering. This is the best meal these lepers will receive all week. This is the first time in their lives that these children are eating ice cream, and they are enjoying very much! From left to right; Stephen-Raj, Jothimuthu, Saranya, Gibson, Antony Rama sitting on his new bed. This is the first time the children have ever slept in a bed. The lepers are very interested in hearing God’s Word. To see the videos of ICI please click here http://www.indchurch.org/Video/Message.html I highly recommend people to watch them, if they don't open your heart there is some wrong with you. So since Christmas is coming, it's time to give, and let's give it to people who really need it. What I am going to do is whatever donations I receive I will match that donation, therefore if 10 people each donate $20, that is $200, I will then also donate $200 making the total $400. Alternatively if you donate to ICI yourself directly and can prove that you did donate to them, I will donate the amount you did also. For instructions on how to donate, PM me and we'll get the money to them before Christmas.

Everyone you can rest assured that I have selected the right place to donate money to, you will get the best "bang for your buck" here, your dollar will stretch out very far. Your dollar will help the maximum number of people per dollar possible as I used a site to gauge how to best donate using a methodology process. Many things are done in the name of charity. Some better that others. The Bible teaches us to be good stewards of God's resources. Luke 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. " How do we know what is a good use or our charity. Here are 6 tools we can use to test how strong your charity is. 1. Is it a wise investment of God's resources? i.e. If one charity has a 15% overhead, and another has a 25% overhead, donate to the more efficient one. If one charity can feed one person for $5 a day, and another can feed 10 African children for $5 a day, put your money in the wisest place. 2. Who does it glorify? If you are donating to look good in front of other people, then it doesn't give God the credit. If possible, donate in a way that the receiver can only thank the Lord. 3. Was it done out of love or obligation? Many times I donate just out of moral duty, but it is far better to donate because you love God, and love the people you are ministering to. 4. Is it true charity or is the giver looking for some benefit? i.e. Some churches will not spend any money unless it directly benefits their Church and is under their control. Even if a ministry has already shown successful under a different organization, some churches will demand they have their own program. And some Christians will spend $2,000 on a 2 week mission trip, (which is a great way to server, and builds up their faith) but they would never consider giving that to others who can minister oversees with it much longer that 2 weeks. (I'm guilty of this too, I've spent my tithing money on ministry books, and other Christian supplies for myself. Wow, what a sacrifice!) 5. Does it advance the Kingdom of God? i.e. Sending bibles to other countries & supporting missionaries directly advance the Kingdom of God. But donating to a politician reelection campaign, or to a environmental fund do not. 6. Does it cost you anything? When I was young, my mom would send me to the store to buy something. I would often give the spare change to those little charity jars at the end of the grocery store's conveyer belt. Wow, I was very generous with my mom's money. But that kind of generosity doesn't impress God. In 2 Samuel 24:24, King David said, "No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing." Please donate generously so that people can be fed, sheltered, educated. Please do this, there are many people waiting for you to give, they need you, they are waiting with their starving arms out with an empty bowl waiting to be filled, if it is not filled, they will die. It is your moral responsibility to help these people, to save them from the brink of starvation, I really hate to think how selfish the people on this can be, they will spend $30 on immortality products per month, yet that money could be used instead to save the starving people, each $1 is enough to save a starving child or person but yet instead of saving these people's lives, you instead selfishly spend that money on yourself to "enhance" your own life at the expense of numerous downtrodden people who do not even have a voice of their own to speak up. You may say "well I'm not the only one who does not donate to charities, most people I know don't donate to help other people", well the majority of people are going to hell, if you put your glasses on you can really see how disgusting most people really are in their selfishness. People say "oh the world is so wrong" and "oh christians are stupid, they are stuffing up the world, offending homosexuals and other gays saying that it is wrong" excuse me, Christians are the ones who are trying to make this world a better place, christians are working very strongly to eliminate global poverty, they are the ones in these countries, helping these people, you do not see athiests or people of any other religions go into these 3rd world countries and begin working and helping these people, saving their lives and giving them hope. I would like the people here to atleast donate $100 in total. Remember, whatever money you give, I double it. Please donate, we all share this world, and if someone is suffering, share their burden by helping them.

Re:
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Poor people, who by nature of their lives have become so disattached to materialism, that they are naturally more apt to be able to enter the superior dimensions of nature at will, such as the astral plane. Thus they are even better prepared to become students of Gnosis than common Westerners. Food, clothing, shelter, health, are all indispensible necessities for them. At the same time, feeding them with the genuine esotericism is a good deed which will be of everlasting value because the results of that will never run dry. Fundamentalists want to go and give food and evangelize. There is a great deal of good in this, but I will post again the quote from renown African activist Desmond Tutu: "When missionaries came to South Africa, we had the land, they had the Bible. Then they told us, 'Let's close our eyes and pray.' When we opened our eyes we saw that we have the Bible, they have the land." It's not enough that the Western world has made a sun-dried wasteland of Africa, via the environmental effects of the industrial revolution. Then with banners of Christian good-will they arrived to become occupants, rulers. History reeks of warnings to Fundamentalism and Orthodoxy for propogating the castrated doctrine.

So no one is going to help these people except me? You can afford rubbish from alex but not help a fellow human being, how disgusting. Please the people are crying out for help, how can you turn your back and just walk away, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, totally ashamed. How greedy, I offered an incentive for you, If you donate a dollar, I will donate a dollar, but you are all too selfish that even if I offered donate $100 for everyone one dollar donated, you probably would still decide to pass by, how shameful. The people here are despicable in character, they refuse to lift even a little finger to help his fellow man. Please, to anyone who has even just a sand grain size of compassion left in their hearts, please help, it is of utmost importance.

TheATA1- 11-26-2007

I have the money, I will match what you give (within reason), for every one dollar you donate, I will donate $1.

ivan4iai- 11-26-2007

ATA, if you're so compassionate you should donate to charity without waiting for someone else to do so.

TwistinUnderSchizophrenia- 11-26-2007

I would love to donate to charities, but I have enough trouble paying my own bills.

kamebazooka- 11-26-2007

greedy, I offered an incentive for you, If you donate a dollar, I will donate a dollar, but you are all too selfish that even if I offered donate $100 for everyone one dollar donated, you probably would still decide to pass I today just donated $50 to TOSTAN. Please donate $100 x $50 = $5000 to TOSTAN as you suggest.

TheATA1- 11-27-2007

Whats TOSTAN? TwistinUnderSchizophrenia, what bills do you have trouble paying? My experience of western people is that they overextend themselves on luxury goods and services, and if they then are unable to afford it, they will use credit to selfishly satisfy themselves. Cancel your non unnecessary bills and then give what you can to the poor. Alex Chiu I also expect you to donate.

Generaloflight- 11-27-2007

Ata1, how dare you bash people without knowing anything for sure. Your negativity is not the way of God and if anyone should be ashamed it should be you. How do you know that people that post here do not donate? Just because they don't want to donate the way you want them to, does that give you the right to bash people? What if people think you are a scammer? What if we send you money over paypal and you pocket it? Personally I think you are a scammer.

TheATA1- 11-27-2007

I will provide receipt evidence and I would in no way take other people's money for myself which is intended for much more needy people. If I was an athiest and proclaimed this I would be hesitant, but as a christian, you can rest much more assured. You see when you become Christian the holy spirit enters into you and compels you to do good works, it is the result of becoming a christian that produces this effect. Good works does not change a wicked heart, but a Good heart produces good works.

Probably the biggest "luxury" I have is the internet.

kamebazooka- 11-27-2007

Whats TOSTAN? From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tostan: Tostan (Wolof: breakthrough) is an international nongovernmental organization operating mainly in Senegal which works to combat female genital cutting (FGC). It employs approximately 370 people, and carries out its mission by providing education on literacy, mathematics, and basic health care to women in the village they are working in, bringing up the subject of genital cutting during this education. Frequently the culmination of the education is a public declaration by these women and their village that they will no long engage in female genital cutting.

See the publicans in the streets, with the long faces to show others they are fasting, they have their reward. But give in secret so the heavenly father can reward you in secret. And so it was Jesus whipped the money changers out of the temple. Among the fundies there are money changers, who use donations in the wrong way, turning the lord's house into a den of thieves so be very careful about what you give to. Also, there are charitable souls, who keep silence concerning what they do for the lord.
