Well this makes a good discussion. Is it less spiritual to be wealthy, or does it not matter really? I live in a pretty afluent area, and just about everyone has a good car, and many have SUVs or a Hummer to drive around in. Does that make them bad people, the fact that their cars are big and they use 5 times the gasoline as other people?
Should people just settle for smaller cars, small apartments, etc.?
I know some people think that living this way is somehow immoral, but on the other hand being immoral is the only way to get rich really. Doctors, Dentists, lawyers, and the like all kind of abuse their way to the top in my opinion. They don't really fix anything. They just take advantage of people largely.
The advantage to being immoral is that it gets you respect really. A good wife and enough money to take care of your family. If one is to be a moral spiritual person, he doesn't really have wealth in any form. Not material wealth at least. He just has philosophy for the most part. He doesn't get expensive things, cars, houses, or respect really. No respect in the least. People pass him by since he has nothing material to offer them.
Yes it makes them bad people. You can have a smaller house and smaller cheaper car and give the money to the poor and sick. So yeah...They are bad. We all are bad when we have when other have not!

Well, more accurately, he doesn't get respect from people who are too self-absorbed to see anything beyond their own extravagances. That guy would get a lot of respect from me.
