Today 13th November 2007 Greyhounds Should I bet on Shanlyn Prince to win The Shootout on Thursday 15th November? Year: h, Month: h, Day: h-VIII, Empty: y & m Family - 37 Lawsuit - 6 B m - G sh - gry K e - U R s - yel G wa X K w - red R yo P h O K w - - grn G c X J G cn - blk B m O B y - - wht Unstable Ke on U line disappears in day h. U line moving in a killing cycle on line 5. Gc on J line is healthy. Gc strikes with Gwa; Gc moves (produces) Gcn. Bm on 6th line is empty. Bm on 1st line isn't empty as it is moving, but it disappears in day h. Now, because the Ke on the U line disappears, does that mean that the Ke cannot produce the Gc on the J line? If that's the case, then this dog won't win. J line retreating G stars, U line Ke strikes with the day h to move and Ki Kills the Rstar. Why is Gc striking with Gwa? Soil elements dont strike. Killing elements strike. I dont think you should bet on this.

I've found so far that horses are difficult to predict. not really.. either the horse wins or not there ain't not draws :P so the longer you toss the easier it will be for you to predict the results. Just don't give up. I've been gambling 3 years using IChing. when I don't really understand soccer games. last time i watched a game was a year ago and game was in Chinese :D i'm rarely wrong about results and if i can make it, anyone can. Wintergreen: noticed you said something about green color in one of your posts. from my experience color doesn't mean a lot when it comes to wining questions. you can be blk/white and still win. today i tossed for 2 games & both wining teams were Blk.

Makybe_Diva- 11-13-2007

LOL! With horses, there can be a dead-heat. It is rare that two horses finish together and can't be separated at the line. Your right - it is pretty much a yes or no answer that I am after. I read the post about striking and bonding and have written it all down (it helps me remember) - I understand a bit better where I am going wrong in relation to that. Part of the problem is that I am looking too deeply into the hexagrams and not looking at the yes and no only (did that make sense?). I can't wait to get my book from Alex so that I can use it as a reference :) Btw, thank you for helping and advising me - I really appreciate it :D Roxy

Xiao Hu- 11-13-2007

alex book is good for learning the basics but not everything alex says in book is correct. if you're not one of those who follow alex blindly, i can help you correct the wrong stuff like the Empty Date Chart etc.. I've already talked about this things in other posts and i don't feel like 'arguing' with anyone about it again. I have no experience with your type of questions i can't help you much. I try to learn from your hexes with results and i've just finshed looking at your results from Nov 9th. you tossed 10 times  probably the reason why you didn't get clear hexes for the winning horses that day. Now about your question why did Cat in the Hat won. when you get the Revolution hex (hex 49) which generally means there will be a dramatic change. it usally means that if you were already thinking that X horse will win while tossing he won't and if you thought he has no chance wining while tossing he will, or something like that :P

Makybe_Diva- 11-14-2007

LOL! Don't worry, I'm not someone who follows Alex blindly - I have some sort of common sense  I have been going through Alex's super i ching site and I have noticed a couple of things that he has been incorrect about, it's like these horses have separate rules of their own sometimes :) I have been looking at your posts and have been printing them up so that I can reference them whilst doing my hex's. I have found the 5 Basic Elements very handy as I was kind of getting confused with producing and killing cycles - your post has helped make this alot clearer. I am also getting a book on I Ching, just to have a look at. I have noticed that I get more P stars in my hex's on the weekends as I am more stressed. With the ones that I have been doing on the weekend, they have been for Steve (my partner) and I think I have been worrying too much about what he thinks. During the week, I seem to do alot better and can read my hex's better. But trying to explain that to him ....... With Cat In A Hat, there is a lady that I work with every 2nd saturday who always bets on horses that have Cat in their name. Also, this horse has won comfortably before and I have won with him before. In that race I liked Who Did It and Guyno, having won with both of them before, and Steve was talking about betting on Blue Hoops. Really, I should have looked at things more carefully when I realised that Who Did It and Guyno were scratched. I know heaps about these horses and I try not to think too much about them before asking my questions, but it makes it difficult when people want to talk to about them and about race tactics. That is probably why I have been asking questions about greyhounds and harness - I don't know anything about them. I think I might try some other sport as well - just to give myself a break from the horses. I might also be easier (re: less questions). Thanks heaps for your help. I really appreciate it :D Have a good day, Roxy

I think I have been worrying too much about what he thinks. During the week, I seem to do alot better and can read my hex's better. But trying to explain that to him . I Understand exactly what you mean! a few years ago there was a guy who taught me how to read soccer hexes, he was real good. He knew a lot about IChing and he corrected for me all that was wrong in alex Iching. He stopped tossing when he went back to the university and we drifted apart. unless he had a sudden urge to bet. so instead of showing him how good i became thx to his teaching (I owe him my success in gambling) to my embarrassment i couldn't even toss good a hex. like you i was worrying to much about what he thinks You know you could be right about having to much knowledge interfiring with conertration. i don't have that probelm beacuse i don't know much about footy games but i've noticed that this guy hexes weren't always accurate, maybe that's the reason beacuse he did have lot of knowldge about the teams and it's probably difficult not letting that influence your mind when tossing . I would also like to thank you for being so nice and sharing your hexes with me and everyone around. I had a very bad expreince with soccer/gambling in alex forums in the past that i prefer to be quiet.

Date: 21/11/07 Should I bet on Man Of Class to win AR4 today? Year: h, Month: h, Day: wa-VI, Empty: t & c Wonderful - 11 Need - 5 K yo - - U G t - - yel G h X B sh - red B c - - K s - - grn B cn - J B cn - blk P e R y - R y - wht G t - G t - gry 6 Match Unstable Gh (appointed star) is a moving line - needs h or y day/mth/yr to move. Gh disappears on day wa. Bcn on J is strong. Line isn't moving. Kyo on U line is strong on day wa - U line is empty as Gt in 2nd hex is empty. No U line (empty U line) normally means that there is no opponent - well that's been the general rule so far with horses :) Should I bet on Brilliant Lies to win AR4 today? Year: h, Month: h, Day: wa-VI, Empty: t & c Travel - 56 Gen - 52 B e - P y - yel K wa - - R t - - red G yo O U K sh - - grn R h G s - G s - blk B w - - B w - - wht P m K cn - - J K cn - - gry 6 Match 6 Strike Kcn on J line is strong on day wa. Gyo on U line is strong on day wa. Gyo is moving line - needs yo or cn day/mth/yr to move. Kcn bounds with Gyo - J and U bound together. Should I bet on Manila Heat to win AR4 today? Year: h, Month: h, Day: wa-VI, Empty: t & c Cover - 4 Hollow - 61 P y - P m - yel R t X B e - red G yo K sh - - J K wa - - grn B w - - K c - - blk K cn - P m - wht P y X U B e - gry Unstable Ksh on J line is strong on day wa. Gyo (appointed) is healthy on Ksh line. Will come out on yo day/mth/yr. Bw is bound to day wa - Bw isn't empty as Kc is being struck by day wa (?) Even though Py is buried on day wa, the money star is hiding. Should I bet on Lindholme to win AR4 today? Year: h, Month: h, Day: wa-VI, Empty: t & c Duay - 58 Bride - 54 P wa - - J P sh - - yel B yo O B s - - red K h - R w - grn P c - - U P c - - blk G m - G m - wht R e - R e - gry 6 Strike Stable Appointed star Gm is dead/buried on day wa - How can money come in if the appointed is dead? Pc on U isn't empty as day wa strikes. Pc is strong on day wa. U line isn't moving. Pwa on J line bounds with day wa - this doesn't break the 6 strike. Pc on U line strikes Pwa on J line; Pwa moves (retreats) -> Psh. 6 Strike is permanent (?) Well, I have picked Man Of Class to win, Brilliant Lies for 2nd, and Manila Heat to come 3rd. Will come back later on with results 8)

Makybe_Diva- 11-21-2007

Results for AR4 (21/11/07) 1st: Man Of Class $1.70 2nd: Brilliant Lies 3rd: Lindholme I had $10 on the winner, so I got back $17 there. Plus I had the exacta x 3 (1st and 2nd) which paid $10.70 a div = $32.10 I didn't get the trifecta (first 3) as I thought that Lindholme was going to come last. Still, $49.10 from $15 is still pretty good. 8)

Xiao Hu- 11-23-2007

i wonder if questions for horse races have same interpretation as Soccer . what i need to know first is how Lindholme did in his last race. i mean the race before the one you tossed for.

Makybe_Diva- 11-23-2007

Lindholme's last start prior to the 3rd he got on the 21/11/07: 31 Oct 2007, uplaced out of 9 horses. Maybe the small break did him the world of good :?: I'll pop by later on - I have to get ready for work 8) Cheers! Roxy

Xiao Hu- 11-23-2007

what uplaced mean ? i noticed you had a permanent 6 strike hex 4 Lindholme could be after a few tosses 6 match /6 strike should be ingnored still there's an advancing P star sitting on J line and i wonder if it means same as in soccer games. this thread is about horses so i'll PM you an example of what i mean and you can see if it works for you.

Makybe_Diva- 11-25-2007

WOW! There was a big race here in Perth on saturday the 24th November. Here are the hexagram's for 1st and 2nd (I had the horse that came 2nd - I knew she would pay heaps  ). date of throw: 21/11/07 Should I bet on Hartley's Dream to win the Railway Stakes on saturday 24th november? Year: h, Month: h, Day: wa-VI, Empty: t & c Cup - 50 The Well - 48 B e O R t - - yel K wa X U K sh - red G yo O G s - - grn G yo - G yo - blk R h - J R h - wht P m K c - - K c - - gry Hartley's Dream is a good horse however she has done nothing this campaign back from a spell (break). Gyo is the appointed star (4th line that is moving). Gyo is strong in day wa. Gyo won't move until yo or cn. J line Rh is bound to the month. Rh disappears in day wa. U line Kwa is bound to the day wa -> needs c day/mth/yr to strike so it can move. date of throw: 23/11/07 Will El Presidente win the Railway Stakes tomorrow? Year: h, Month: h, Day: yo-VIII, Empty: t & c Same - 13 Hide - 33 K sh - U K sh - gry G s - G s - yel B w - B w - red R h - J G s - grn K c - - B w - - blk P m O K cn - - wht Stable Rh is the appointed this time (asking if the horse will win the race - have not asked will I win money). Rh is on J line. Rh bounds to both the month and the year h. Rh is healthy in day yo (metal generates water). Gs is helper star to Rh; Gs is strong, not moving. Kc is enemy star; Kc is empty in day yo -> cannot hurt Rh. Ksh on U line is healthy and not moving. It is the threat to the Rh but Gs is protecting Rh. Steve (my partner) did the question and toss for El Presidente and I did the one for Hartley's Dream. After looking at El Presidente's hexagram, I noticed that the day was yo -> Hartley's Dream appointed will be moving, dragging the Gyo underneath it with it. The race was great! Heaps of tactics involved. El Presidente played up all the way through the race, except for the last 300m. Hartley's Dream broke through the pack in the last 30m to lunge for 2nd on the finish line. El Presidente payed under $4.00 a win. Hartley's Dream payed $14.50 a place 8) After seeing this happen, I don't think the horses prior races are shown in the hexagram - I think it all has to do with the here and now. I'm only about 90% sure though. Once I have been through my journal and had a look at any similarities, then I will be better informed  Till then, have a good one! Roxy

Xiao Hu- 11-25-2007

Gyo is the appointed star (4th line that is moving). Gyo is strong in day wa. Gyo won't move until yo or cn. J line Rh is bound to the month. Rh disappears in day wa. U line Kwa is bound to the day wa -> needs c day/mth/yr to strike so it can move. 4th line can't retreat because 5th line is advancing K star. G yo won't move on day cn. beacuse cn & yo bound. Rh doesn't bound to Rh even alex said that sometimes en element bound to itself, meaning most times it doesn't! same goes for Kwa  2) Rh is on J line. It is the threat to the Rh but Gs is protecting Rh. if a line isn't moving it can't hurt or help the appointed star. always look at the moving lines. in this case 1st line is cut loose by date. El Presidente played up all the way through the race, except for the last 300m the appointed star for horses and pets is the K star. J line is surrounded by emptyness beacuse K c is empty so Bw is also empty

Date of throw/question: 14/1/2008 Should I bet on Gillerina to finish in the top 2 of SR1 today? Year: h, Month: c, Day: c-X, Empty: y & m Unsettled - 64 Solution - 40 B e O U K sh - - K wa - - G s - - G yo - B w - R h B w - - J B w - - K cn - K cn - P y - - P y - - Appointed star is Gyo which is dead in the day. B kills G - J line is killing the appointed star. Will Brenna finish in the top 2 of SR1 today? Year: h, Month: c, Day: c-X, Empty: y & m Consolidate - 22 Feed - 27 R y - R y - G t - - G t - - B sh - - U B sh - - K s G h O B cn - - P w B c - - R y - - R m - J G t - 6 Match Unstable Appointed star is Gh - weak in day. - Gh is a moving line, can move on h or y. B kills G. Will Kala Maid finish in the top 2 of SR1 today? Year: h, Month: c, Day: c-X, Empty: y & m Feed - 27 Big Profit - 14 B y - K e - K e P t - - G wa - - G sh X J R yo - R yo G cn X G cn - B y X B y - P t - U P t - Unstable Stable Appointed star is Gsh on J line. - Gsh is strong in day c. - Gsh is a moving line, can move on sh or m. - G produces R. Will Pearl of the West finish in the top 2 of SR1 today? Year: h, Month: c, Day: c-X, Empty: y & m Trapped - 47 Lawsuit - 6 P wa X P sh - B yo - B s - K h - U R w - R w - - R w - - P cn - P cn - G y - - J G y - - 6 Match Unstable Appointed star is Gy on J line. - Empty on day c?? Well, Gillerina doesn't have a hope of finishing in the top 3 due to the advancing B star (B = Got Nothing). I picked Kala Maid for 1st, with Brenna 2nd and Pearl of the West for third and did an Allways trifecta (first 3 in any order). Thankfully, Gillerina finished last but Pearl of the West won, with Kala Maid 2nd and Brenna 3rd. Still got $33.50 back from $6 so I'm happy :) So, how did Pearl of the West win when it appeared that the J line was empty? Well, Gy and Kh bound together and K produces G in the 1st hexagram. In the 2nd hexagram, Gy is being struck by Bs. One of these has made the empty not anymore. Or was it the year h? Hmmmm.......
