No I am not interested in watching lies. Not very long ago a friend of mine said he watched ZEITGEIST, he was a christian and now does not know what to believe, it has left him confused. If I were to watch I would need to wear the whole armor of god, but I think if something is dangerous, then it's best to avoid that danger. Anyway I check online at afew christian forums and they basicly said that the movie is a very long far stretch in what they claim so I have discounted as nothing more than fiction and not even worth my time. Sorry vision, I will not be watching the movie.

Zeitgeist (a german phrase that means "the spirit of the age") is the name of an online movie that is making quite an unfortunate impact on thousands of undiscerning, history-starved young people around the world. The poorly done, historically inaccurate documentary (for lack of a better word to describe an often times blurry, pixelated film) produced by a man named "Peter J" seeks to persuade its viewers that the authors of the New Testament borrowed the idea of Jesus' virgin birth, disciples, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection from ancient pagan mystery religions that were around long before the time of Christ. The video even goes so far as to claim that Jesus Himself never even existed. Charlie Campbell says, "Many of the charges put forth in Zeitgeist are based on outdated, disproved ideas that were in circulation at the beginning of the last century. Here is one example. Zeitgeist states that Attis (a Roman deity) was crucified, dead for three days and then resurrected. This is absolutely not true to the mythological account. In the mythological story, Attis was unfaithful to his goddess lover, and in a jealous rage she made him insane. In that insanity, Attis castrated himself and fled into the forest, where he bled to death. As J. Gresham Machen points out, "The myth contains no account of a resurrection; all that Cybele is able to obtain is that the body of Attis should be preserved, that his hair should continue to grow, and that his little finger should move." Christianity is a joke of a religion. Particularly these Western Christians with blue eyes who combine Anglo-Saxon colonialist hatred with Middle Eastern influences of cross-idolatry and Zionism. Voting is mandatory here in Australia. I went right off John Howard when he decided that we had to follow Bush into Iraq. :lol: At least it is easy to read between the lines with that one :D It is amazing how much crap has happened throughout our history that has been done in the name of religion. Sorry if this is going to sound harsh but, imo, I think that it is all rubbish - who gives people the right to go around invading other countries just because they think they are in the right. Really, countries should get on with fixing their own problems before critising other nations. Like us, for instance - Australia has enough to deal with without getting involved in other coutnries business. Our whales are just one thing that needs urgent attention (mainly for future generations to enjoy, not just because we have a $300 million a year tourist trade involving whales). We have major problems with our health service as well as problems in education. Child abuse is rife here at the moment, which is so sad :( Here in Perth, the crime rate is really really high - the police force is stretch to the limit because the State Government won't spent enough money on them. I could go and on but I think you get the picture. I was raised to believe that you should clean up your own backyard before commenting on someone elses. Thanks for that Vehcklox 8)

More police are not the answer, if there is a high crime rate it is because of some fundamental flaw. With the WA boom, it leaves behind alot of people. Like little johnny says, Australians have never had it so good, except for those who may have had to save their money, they find now that property and alot of other things have gone 3 fold, they take to the streets in crime and begin using drugs.
