F**king bullshit! Obviously, you haven't lived in the 'west'. There has been a drug problem in Perth long before the resources boom hit over here. Bikie gangs used to pretty much run this place - now we have problems with Asian gangs trying to muscle in on the bikie's territory; as well as gangs of African refugees trying to take on the gangs of Aboriginals. Everyday on the radio, I hear of at least one fatality during the night. I hear of reckless driver's (normally P platers, 18yr old and under) hooning up and down our freeway, it normally ending in the death of an innocent victim who was just driving home from work. I hear of children being hurt or worse still, of terrible things happening to them. I hear of women getting attacked whilst they are taking their babies for walk in their pram in broad daylight. I hear of elderly people getting attacked as they try and withdraw money from at ATM machine. Do you want me to go on or have you taken a hint? You know nothing about this state we call Western Australia. It is like a different country compared to the rest of the country. Trust me, I know. I travel to Victoria on a regular basis to visit my mum - I call it the land of the living. At least they have sunday bloody trading - we don't!

I did not realise things were that bad in WA. Are you serious about african gangs? I suppose WA is closer to Africa, but seriously, in sydney I might see one, once a month. There are afew bad suburbs which I avoid here, but it's not bad at all, infact I would call the level of crime tolerable.
