Emotion: Love"Estrogen is important in female precopulatory behaviors in 3 m ways: 1)
estrogen increases a female's willingness to approach a male to induce solicitatious behaviors, 2) estrogen can enhance the "attractivity" of the female:
estrogen priming can induce the production of stimuli that make her more attractive to the male (odors or pheromones, vocalizations), and 3) estrogen 'primes' for progesterone."

You may read that and presume that love has a hormonal or chemical basis. I thought the same thing for a second. It seems to make things look artificial, as though we could control love by manipulating bodily chemicals. A female would only need to take estrogen in order to become more femanine. A male would only need to take testosterone to become more manly. I can't say which comes first, the emotion or the hormonal response to an emotion. Emotion probably lies deeper and is the basis for how we really feel.
We probably have a destiny which guides us into the love we may find. I'm not confident that it can be played with like chemicals in a flask.
