Chinese Food
Alex has said before he'll eat anything because he's Chinese. He doesn't have any particular concern for what's in a food. Today I ate Chinese food and had a really bad day, I stayed in bed the whole day feeling like I wanted to die. I have Asperger's syndrome as well. It is said that MSG can cause headaches, loss of mental focus and heavily affects Autistic children. Quote from site. "Chinese processed foods are high in MSG." "China now accounts for 42% of the world's suicides" In spite of the tremendous benefit of China leading the world in alternative healthcare through the practices of qigong and accupuncture, it seems this is soured by the fact that they're doing the most killing of themselves by eating monosodium glutamate. Now, I don't eat Chinese food, packaged/canned soups, or Ramen noodles anymore at all. I try to avoid soy, and I check labels for avoiding anything which has the words: hydrolyzed, caseinate, or glutamate in them.

It's also said to cause birth abnormalities (premature birth maybe? Autism?)

What CHINESE food did you have ? I eat SUSHI every now and then but only made FRESH not the type that are on display.. I also like those Chinese white noodles (thick or thin), never had a problem with them.. I guess i dont like all those sweet and sour dishes, had them before and not really my type..

"China now accounts for 42% of the world's suicides" It's got alot to do with the communist governments policies. They are around 1.25 billion which is around 1/4 of the world's population. The problem has arised because of the birth control methods which girls are often aborted and now men are unable to find wives. Also alot of wealth disparity, it's fine when everyone is poor, but when 25% are becoming wealthy, and the other 75% are getting poorer, that also leads to depression and suicide.

Sushi would be japanese I believe, if they're just noodles they would be fine if it's seasoned like ramen, or has sauce then it likely has MSG.

Yes sorry, SUSHI is JAPANESE, if i buy noodles in small packets i never put those little sachets flavours, just the dried vegies and the hot spicy sauce that come with it but not those BEEF flavours or CHICKEN powders etc, they certainly contain MSG..

Are the (flat and white) rice noodles also Japanese? Not the kind for yaki soba. Anyway, I wanted to caution about he ramen noodles, because of hydrogenated oils. I unfortunately lived on it throughout college. Many are unaware that canola oil causes scarring of the arteries, which attracts LDLs. To vindicate Vehcklox: www.msgtruth.org "MSG is a nervous system stimulant", and even if it doesn't directly cause suicide (as somebody might conclude), being that it is linked to obesity (low self-image), stimulates the nervous system, is linked to hypertension and depression; let's add it all up to a greater likelihood than without.

Shit! I ate chinese food during both pregnancies  With my eldest, I think we had it once a month = 8 to 9 times during the pregnancy. With my youngest, it was only once, but still it could explain why he is the way he is........ Bugger, blast, shit and stuff!!! It's weird that you should say that about it making you ill as S is just about always sick after eating Chinese. I always thought it was because he pigged out on it to the extent of making a glutton of himself. Definately something to think about. Thanks!

what kind of chinese food are you guys eating? i do not know much of traditional chinese cuisine, but the majority of chinese take-out places are basically fast-food/junk-food. So, it is no surprise if such fast food is unhealthy. also, banquet-style fancy chinese food is not meant to be eaten every day either

Re:
Just to prove my point further, I'll post this video which shows what actually goes on behind the scenes of the cooking in a Chinese restaurant, in case any of you have any doubts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWitHlctipE
