Challenge to ATA1
Firstly, please take notice of the purpose of this forum, and consider what relation your projected posts may have to our goals. Secondly, as a member of this forum, you are probably already aware that ALL information, regardless of how it is received (visual, auditory, etc.) is PERMANENTLY embedded into your subconscious mind. (Note: I have chosen NOT to view the link, which you have presented, for that very reason.) Furthermore, you have shared these negative images with other members of our forum, thus subjecting them (be it unwittingly or purposely) to such negative images. Is that a Christian thing to do? Perhaps you should ask yourself if Jesus Himself would do such a thing. Other than disturbing the money-changers' tables in the temple -his most violent act- I do not find anything in the Bible that insinuates that Jesus promotes violence. Have you done unto others as you would have them do unto you, ATA1? Do you wish to be subjected to violent images? Is that a good and spiritually fulfilling investment of your time? Are you honouring the "temple" with which The Lord has thus provided you? My challenge to you is this, ATA1: Turn every negative thought, internal image and sound into a positive one. For example, if the thought is "humans are pure evil", then it would behove you to remember "I am not the only Christian on the face of the Earth, and I have faith in The Lord that I shall discover Christians sharing the love of Christ in many forms." If the thought is "I must overcome my sins by sheer will-power", then substitute "Jesus died on the cross for my sins, as well as for the sins of others; I am forgiven, and so shall I forgive others." Lastly, just before you exalt in yourself and your perceived "good deeds" in expectation of heavenly reward: "A Christian should always remember that the value of his good works is not based on their number and excellence, but on the love of God which prompts him to do these things."... St. John of the Cross Jesus sent us out into the world, not to show others the evil that they already know exists, but to SHARE the love of Christ with everyone, unabashedly, unconditionally, and even with non-believers. "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. The subconscious mind doesn't retain information permanently. While it's true that some memory loss is only conscious memory loss that is inaccessible, some memory could be permanently lost from the subconscious as well. You really can't prove that memory is retained permanently, this is based on nothing.

I did not say that I am (present tense) a Christian. Not very long ago, I discovered that the structure of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus exactly parallels that of Horus and a host of other "saviours". This is truth. Religion also taught me to feel shame about my natural feelings, and to seek evil in every corner, hence evil I did find. When I began to seek kindness and generosity, I stopped finding evil. . . Justin The Martyr blames it on the devil going back in time to create the myth of Horus (no mention made of the numerous others), but as you know, the devil cannot change the past. Likewise, not one real historian from that era and geographical region makes mention of any Jesus. "Distant cousin" would be too close of a term; more like different genus. I nevertheless find value in the wisdom of Solomon, and the teachings of mythical saviours, who teach of love, kindness and tolerance, and not of (unnecessarily) torturing others, including very young and autistic children, with horrific thoughts and images. The only conclusion I can arrive at is that your religion, while it makes sex (in most contexts) a sin, it is not forbidden to fantasize about disturbing images and events. Hmm. . . curious, is it not, that Youtube, Google, Metacafe, television etc. likewise scandalise and forbid even nudity, yet implicitly condone even extreme violence. Whom do you now call "brother"?

Yes, I did, hence that quote is indeed accurate. You have once again succeeded in amazing us with your abilities to select and misconstrue only that which you find yourself able to address. Your interpretation of 1John 2:19 is just such an example. Nevertheless, you are correct to say that "christ" was never in me, just as he was never in you. Incidentally, nobody in our church was ever healed; I in fact became rather ill, thanks to my "christian bretheren", who were preoccupied (like yourself) with finding fault in others, whilst ignoring the logs in their own eyes. Please do not expect us to view any of the links that you post, as you have proven your obsession with violent imagery, of which we do not wish to take part. I have already changed my ways afew years ago, I repented of my sins and accepted Christ, and I am now following the last of Jesus's messages which is to go out and spread the word. I am not the one who needs to change my ways, I have already done this, It is now your's and the others on this boards turn to change their way. You say there are people concerned about me here, I doubt it, they are more concerned about themselves and their feelings and don't like me speaking about the bible and speaking the truth about sin because it makes them feel bad. I love everyone here on this board, I want them to know god loves them and he has set aside a place in heaven for them if they repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior, it is the only way. kylewaters, you don't become a Christian by going to church or by watching other fellow church goers commit sin and decide that this is christainity and reject it. You'd do far better just reading the bible and praying to Jesus. Too many of the churches today are corrupt and it's difficult to find one that is truely christian, and this lines up with what revelation says that churches will become corrupt in the last days. Don't go to those "mega" churches, find a little church with a pastor who is not afraid to call sin for what it is. Life is short, eternity is forever. If you don't like the links I post, thats fine, I post things that are hard hitting and full of truth, real life, not fake fantasy links like "how great the secret is" or others like it which Satan uses to sugar coat over what he has done on this earth like the suffering of animals and people. Scrape off the icing which the mainstream media and social norms have applied to what is acceptable to report as news and you find a large black pudding that is not very nice. I see something and I see it is wrong, I show others and say, hey look whats happening here, this is wrong, this is not right, this should not be happening. But it is you people here who allow this to happen because you never have the gall to look at it in the first place so the problem keeps happening. I hate to see animals and people suffering, but people here think the world is a wonderful happy place, I show them a link which challenges their belief system and they go mental at me.
