If you get it too close to your monitor it could cause a discoloration on a CRT I put them close to my monitor for fun. And you still use a cathode tube device, what the fuck is wrong with you. I've worn Neo. rings on a desktop PC with the tower on the floor, it was fine. But I wouldn't wear it on a notebook A good quality CRT still puts out a better picture than a LCD. There is also no ghosting that you sometimes get on an LCD with fast moving images
