Benjamin Franklin
I have studied the founding fathers of America and I believe Benjamin Franklin is the best example of an American that people should esteem to. His list of accomplishments are endless. Also check out GRO, it's self improvement based on Ben Franklin. http://www.thegoldenrule.net/ What do you think?

Franklin MAY have been a Satanist
I think Ben Franklin was a very wicked man, that history has been kind to, by omitting his sins. 1.Franklin was a drunk He had weekly meetings at a tavern, where he got drunk with several of his associates. Franklin wrote, in a piece called "The Antediluvians Were All Very Sober" that "Virtue and Safety in Wine Drinking is found, while all that drink water deserve to be drowned." Pro 20:1 says "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise". Of course, all that drinking can lead to fornication, which Franklin was also very fond of. 2.Franklin was a whore Not only did Franklin write a letter to a friend on "How to Choose A Mistress", but he had an illegitimate son. This is strange behavior for a God-fearing "deist" and was quite bohemian, in those days. While in France, he attempted to seduce a married woman who was 40 years younger than himself. Franklin may have picked up the whore-mongering and drinking, while he was in London. 3.Franklin was an occultist, possible Satanist and possibly indulged in child sacrifice Franklin attended the drunken, ritual orgies of a secret society called, among other things, the Hellfire Club. They would get drunk, dress prostitutes up like Nuns and have orgies in underground caves, which resembled Black Masses (although they "worshipped" pagan deities Bacchus and Venus). While not actual Satanists (one hopes) their motto Fait ce que vouldras (Do what thou wilt) was later used by Satanist Aleister Crowley. What is most disturbing is that, on February 11, 1998, The London Times reported that workmen restoring Benjamin Franklin's London home dug up the remains of six children and four adults hidden below the home. "Initial estimates are that the bones are about 200 years old and were buried at the time Franklin was living in the house, which was his home from 1757 to 1762, and from 1764 to 1775. Most of the bones show signs of having been dissected, sawn or cut. One skull has been drilled with several holes. Paul Knapman, the Westminster Coroner, said yesterday: "I cannot totally discount the possibility of a crime. There is still a possibility that I may have to hold an inquest."

No LordOfTheRings, Franklin was a good godly man. Franklin wrote 13 virtues, I will use those to refute what you say. 1.Franklin was a drunk He had weekly meetings at a tavern, where he got drunk with several of his associates. Temperance: Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation. Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation. Also about the woman/women in France, women flocked to Franklin because he was such a good example of a human being, but he did not fornicate with those women. If you read the americanization of benjiman franklin said to that french woman that if she'd marry him he would never leave france but it was a joke, the frence thought he was deadly serious. When he was over in france there was alot of misunderstanding. When speaches were being made, franklin often could not follow along and would take que's from a woman next to him of when to clap and cheer. Someone in the audience noted that Franklin clapped and cheered the loudest whenever his name was mentioned. 3.Franklin was an occultist, possible Satanist and possibly indulged in child sacrifice Yes he was a Mason but back in those days a Mason was more or less just a mens club. George Washington was also a member of the Masons and when questioned about it he would remark that he was not part of the illuminati. What is most disturbing is that, on February 11, 1998, The London Times reported that workmen restoring Benjamin Franklin's London home dug up the remains of six children and four adults hidden below the home. Comon he stayed in london for a total time of perhaps 10 years, that house had been standing for along time before he arrived and has been standing ever since. Another one of his 13 virtues is : Humility: Imitate Jesus and Socrates. He emulated Jesus, you can't do wrong there.

You are a fool, ATA . Ben put on an outward appearance of righteousness, but his heart was far from God (just like you). The proof of this is that he wrote, in addition to Poor Richard's Almanac, a piece called "Fart Proudly". Also, he spent time with many occultists, such as Philippe Marchand. http://www.pyramid-gallery.com/ChildsOwnLosses.html The LeMarchand puzzle box known as The Child's Own Losses was first purchased by Voltaire at his Ferny Estate during one of LeMarchand's legendary auctions in 1749. Voltaire later presented the box as a gift to the Grand Master of the Nine Sisters Lodge in Paris - Benjamin Franklin. Philip LeMarchand first met Benjamin Franklin during a Masonic conference in New York, 1753. The two shared interests in natural science and the hidden sciences of the Occult. They made several trips to Europe together in the 1770s. They primarily stayed in London but often dared travel to Paris with LeMarchand in disguise so as to not alert "the authorities" to his return. During these journeys, Franklin made a point to always publicly introduce LeMarchand as "The Professor." It was Franklin who introduced "The Professor" to George Washington in 1775 at a dinner party held for the American flag committee. It is said that LeMarchand (as the Professor) "put forward several proposals about the design of the flag which were eagerly accepted by the committee without argument." Franklin was a occultist Freemason (and possible Satanist) who was Grandmaster of the Masonic Lodge in Pennsylvania. He was a Quaker but had become a Freemason in 1731 when he joined the Lodge of St. John in Philadelphia, which was the first recognized Masonic lodge in America. At the time he was inducted Franklin was working as a journalist and he wrote several pro-Masonic articles which were published in The Pennsylvania Gazette. In 1732 he helped draft the by laws of his lodge and in 1734 he printed the Constitutions which was the first Masonic book ever issued in America. He eventually rose to Grand Master of the St. John's lodge and in 1749 was elected Grand Master of the Province. While in France in the 1770s, as a diplomat for the American colonies, Franklin was made Grand Master of the Nine Sisters Lodge in Paris. Members of the Lodge included Danton, who was to play a crucial role in the French Revolution, the Marquis de Lafayette and Paul Jones, both of whom fought in the American War of Independence. While in Paris Franklin used his Masonic contacts to raise funds to buy arms for the American rebels." While in the Hellfire Club, he had sex with prostitutes dressed as nuns! He joined a club called the Hellfire Club, that adorned their "lodge" with giant phalluses!!! That's very close to the Satanic Black Mass, which you should remember from your days as a metalhead. What Christian hangs out with occultists?!? What Christian would join a club called the Hellfire Club?!? What Christian would surround himself with prostitutes dressed as nuns?!? What Christian would get drunk and have sex with prostitute nuns in a "pagan" ritual?!? You're even further from God now, than you were when you were a metalhead. Wake up!

At Newport we took in a number of passengers for New York, among which were two young women, companions, and a grave, sensible, matron-like Quaker woman, with her attendants. I had shown an obliging readiness to do her some little services, which impress'd her I suppose with a degree of good will toward me; therefore, when she saw a daily growing familiarity between me and the two young women, which they appear'd to encourage, she took me aside, and said: "Young man, I am concern'd for thee, as thou has no friend with thee, and seems not to know much of the world, or of the snares youth is expos'd to; depend upon it, those are very bad women; I can see it in all their actions; and if thee art not upon thy guard, they will draw thee into some danger; they are strangers to thee, and I advise thee, in a friendly concern for thy welfare, to have no acquaintance with them." As I seem'd at first not to think so ill of them as she did, she mentioned some things she had observ'd and heard that had escap'd my notice, but now convinc'd me she was right. I thank'd her for her kind advice, and promis'd to follow it. When we arriv'd at New York, they told me where they liv'd, and invited me to come and see them; but I avoided it, and it was well I did; for the next day the captain miss'd a silver spoon and some other things, that had been taken out of his cabbin, and, knowing that these were a couple of strumpets, he got a warrant to search their lodgings, found the stolen goods, and had the thieves punish'd. So, tho' we had escap'd a sunken rock, which we scrap'd upon in the passage, I thought this escape of rather more importance to me. From the Autobiography of Ben Franklins book we can clearly see that he did not go for strumpets. I happened soon after to attend one of his sermons, in the course of which I perceived he intended to finish with a collection, and I silently resolved he should get nothing from me, I had in my pocket a handful of copper money, three or four silver dollars, and five pistoles in gold. As he proceeded I began to soften, and concluded to give the coppers. Another stroke of his oratory made me asham'd of that, and determin'd me to give the silver; and he finish'd so admirably, that I empty'd my pocket wholly into the collector's dish, gold and all. Wow, what a great giver to god. Benjamin Franklin was a wonderful man, if it was not for Benjamin, the battle of independence would not have been won and you would not exist in America and the world would been an awful place.

Lets look at the good Franklin did. He Invented Bifocals Catheter Franklin Stove Glass Armonica Lightning Rod Odometer Other achievements and inventions. Daylight Savings Time: While in Paris, Franklin was the first to propose the idea of Daylight Savings Time. By increasing the available amount of daylight during the summer and decreasing it during the winter season, Franklin hoped to provide the world with a greater opportunity of doing productive work during the summer months, as opposed to the cold and dreary days of winter. Fire Department: In 1736, Benjamin Franklin started the first fire department ever. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it was called the Union Fire Company Gulf Stream: Franklin was one of the first people to chart the Gulf Stream. Since he spent so much time sailing back and forth from America to Europe as a diplomat, he was able to measure different temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean and chart the Stream in detail. Political Cartoon: Benjamin Franklin is credited with creating the first political cartoon. By combining both his wit and political convictions, he portrayed his own reflections on issues affecting society. Since then, the political cartoon has become a staple of modern culture and thought. The following picture, titled "Join or Die", is the first political cartoon ever. Appearing in Franklin's Pennsylvania Gazette, it concerns the Albany Plan of Union and the author's stance on the matter Vitamin C: Before this nutrient had even been discovered, Franklin encouraged the eating of citrus fruits, including oranges, limes, and grapefruits. Recognizing the healthy advantages of fruit, wise Benjamin coined the phrase "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." He touted the advantages of fruit in helping to maintain the gums and skin. Only in 1795, years after Franklin's recommendations, did the British navy mandate a lime in the daily diet of British seamen. Interestingly, at that point, "limey" became a popular term for an Englishman. The decision to use the lime was instrumental in reducing instances of scurvy among naval crews and illustrates Franklin's foresight. Franklin crossed the Atlantic Ocean eight times and lived abroad for almost a third of his life. Franklin's last public acts were to sign a memorial to Congress urging the abolition of slavery, a cause with which he had sympathized since the 1730s, and to become the first president of the Pennsylvania Society for the Abolition of Slavery. Also Because of Benjamin's achievements he has become almost immortal. Here he is celebrating his 300th birthday. Allways willing to help public services and encourage young people.
