Alex Chiu should challenge ATA to prediction competition
Here are options expiring May 2008 for GDX, a gold miner fund. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/op?s=GDX&m=2008-05 Alex and ATA should pick the option that will provide the highest return using whatever method they choose. They must enter that prediction on the same day. When the option expires, we see who had the highest return based on end-of-day price between the prediction day and expiration day. If you want to try your hand at prediction, you are welcome to join the competition too.

That would be a cool idea but I don't think that ata1 would go for it.

If Alex and ATA are so unwilling to engage in a simple prediction such as this one, with no risk of actual money, then why should anyone trust their predictive expertise? Why should anyone risk their real money on what they say if Alex and ATA cannot even risk imaginary money?
