well somebody has got to know
The mantle of the prophet Elijah has, according to the Tanakh, made an interesting journey.
It went to Elisha, who received it and a "double portion" of Elijah's spirit, when Elijah went to Heaven and then was, perhaps, buried with him.
However, the interesting thing is that there are 3 Hebrew words that translate to "mantle",
The word add-deh-reth, is used to describe Elijah's mantle, which means an outer garment, but is from a root word meaning power.
According to some Christian traditions, when Christ said that John the Baptist was Elijah come again, he was saying that the mantle, or power, had passed onto John.
After John died, Elijah is seen by Jesus's disciples, along with Moses.
They wanted to build a temple to all 3 of them.
The last mention of Elijah is that he will come as one of the 2 witnesses as mentioned in Rev. 11.
these have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.
Since Moses had the power to turn water into blood and strike the Earth with plagues, it is believed that Elijah will be the one to cause the rain to stop, as mentioned in James 5:17
Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
which was what happened in 1st Kings 17:1
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
So, you have no chance of getting the mantle, unless you are Elijah.
The annswer is NO (strike means NO and self line hurted)
