Aiko is a humanoid robot !!
http://www.physorg.com/news148316873.html Aiko is a humanoid robot with a built in Biometric Artificial Intelligence Neural System (Brain) designed by Le Trung in Canada. Aiko is slightly less than 5-feet high with 32.24-inch bust, 22.44-inch waist and 33.07-inch waist. Aiko which means "love child" is the perfect companion. In fact, lovely Aiko speaks Japanese and English and can respond to annoyances and questions.

That reminds me of something called a Mental Commitment Robot named Paro that I was looking at last night. Paro is the most interactive "healing pet" made to date, designed to be used for animal therapy without needing actual animals that require special attention. It learns from you, and is truly an interactive pet in its responses as well. Paro is modeled on a baby seal, and totally fits the part! It's incredibly soft and lifelike, has an array of sensors, and develops a personality over time that corresponds with how people play with Paro. • Has a diurnal rythym of morning, afternoon, and night • Five kinds of sensors: tactile, light, audition, temperature, and posture • Can recognize light and dark • Can feel being stroked and the amount of pressure • Understands when it is being held • Can recognize the direction of sound • Recognizes its name, greetings, and praise • Remembers interactions and adapts • Imitates the voice of a real baby seal • Expresses feelings though noises, body movements, and facial expressions • Creates highly emotional facial expressions with blinking eyes • Each Paro's facial expressions are unique • Durable yet soft artificial fur which is anti-bacterial and soil resistant • Strong internal robotics that can handle long-term use • Has an electromagnetic shield (safe for pacemakers) I am in a relationship right now that is temporarily long distance. This will probably sound silly, but I would like to have something like this to go to bed with - but Paro is $5,654 which is too expensive.
