About tek "singularity"
I think it's true technology is growing exponentially and POTENTIALLY unlimited. But I think we'll not have a singularity, because technology will be stopped and strictly controlled by governs when it reaches a certain point, like human-like androids and nanotechnology. Because risks will be so big that ONU etc will just set up laws to prevent human enslavement by machines or nanotek war etc. So we'll get a very advanced technology but not really a "singularity". I think technology will be blocked and strictly controlled in year 2029 or such. Probably alex will set up those rules, as he will be like the chief of the world in that year.
I mean, you don't really want to become a cyborg if you are not crazy. At a certain point we'll just say "ok , that's just enough with technology, we don't want to lose humanity and donate our world to terminator soulness androids".
Do you agree, Alex?
No law is going to be able to control technological advancement on a global scale. There will always be some person or group working in secrecy.
Secrecy will not be possible as technology advances. Before human-robot can be created, technology will allow governs to prevent advanced secret labs existence.
I doubt it.
How are you going to detect someone not connected to the grid working on something?
If he is not connected to the grid, he can't work on advanced tek projects.
probably in the future you will be obliged to be connected to internet/grid, even to have food etc.
And to build a lab to work on advanced tasks you need AI computers and robots you have to buy them and say why you buy, and those kind of machines will have like a chip which transmits signals to authorites.
And if you try to build a special secret cave, in the future authorities will immediatly jump at your door and ask you what the hell you are doing.
In the future control will be much more strict than now, because we'll have technology to control better and because things like AI and nanobots can destroy humanity in few minutes if misused.
And there will be people who will find a way around the security.
maybe. But it will be hugely hard to escape future tek controls. They will put such effort in something that can easliy destroy them and the universe or enslave humanity forever if something goes wrong? I don't think so, even terrorists will not risk so much.
